Job Hunt Experience

WRONG MOVE. this is my first time to go in a certain company and have an interview. I prepared for it so badly. But then again, I had made the wrong move: 1. My cousin asked me if he'll drop me off to the company to which i have interview at. Then I said "wag na kuya, may kasama din kasi ko." (my mind was set that we'll just take a cab, because dester knows the way). So, we meet at JRU at around 8:00am. Then, while calling for a cab, all the cab that we saw has a passenger. I was so nervous that I will be late. So I decided to ride on a jeepney instead. I also experience walking along the long road of ayala that put a scar on my feet; 2. During the interview, I am so confident and prepared from head to foot. =) only to find out that casual attire will do, since all the employees wore jeans and t-shirts. 3. In C. search ... company I am asked to write an article, which i took seriously; like as if I'm taking an exam fot THE JOURNAL; afterwhich, i am interviewed that made me go huh?! The interviewer said " so, you know accenture?" I said "no!(i know) she said "do you want to work there?" I said "most probably(idl)" she said "so, what motivates you in going through life alone?" I said "what motivates me are my detractors, friends and my family ...." she suddenly interrupts me and say "what are detractors?" I explained it to her. And she ends up, okay you will go back here as data analyst at accenture(like i apply here as researchers' asst. so why accenture?); 4. We call a cab from medical plaza, and when there was one, we said " makati city hall po, we were already inside when the driver said, "fixed na lang po naten 100, traffic po kasi eh, wla din ako metro" (like you think you can fool us). So we go out from the cab, and waited 30 minutes to get one, and we finally did, the driver said, "additional 30 po hanggang don." Since i'm so irritated at that time i accepted the agreement. I end up paying P107.50... dester said "sobra ng 7.50". I said "yup, i should accept, the offer of the first cab." haaayyy

STRANGER. I was about to go at Kyo Yook Nara to apply for a job, but when we finally reached Megamall, we noticed that if i get there, i'll not be able to finish my task at JRU. So, I decided not to continue. While we were in Powerbooks, we went to the section where Bob Ongs' books were located. So I read "Ligo na You, Dito na Me". while we were laughing about a certain topic. We suddenly noticed that there was a girl beside us. looking for books, but we didn't mind her. Maybe, out of curiousity, she approached us and start introducing herself. The conversation: the girl "fan ka ni bob ong?" I said " hindi po, I'm a fan of Paolo Coelho." Girl "ah, kasi yung brother ko fan ni bob ong (ahh ok!), kanina pa kita tinitingnan, you're smiling while you're reading, are you a student?" I said "nope, I just graduated." Girl "what course?" I said "Liberal Arts po." Girl "ah, yung mom ko yan din yung course, unfortunately, di nya natapos, do you have work? By the way I'm amy from medical...." I said "hindi po, looking for work pa lang po." Girl "oh, what a coincidence, we are looking for a freelance writer, do you have a calling card?" I'm one of the ... of the company (R.N. daw sya). I said "yes.(i gave it to her) just call me, if i could write something about your company." Girl "sure! thank you, nice meeting you." I said "you too."

TIME's UP. Okay, I received a call from RCBC asking me to report to their office for my exam and interview. (well, I'm shocked when they called, since i never tried to passed my resume in their company). Then, I thought of reporting, because nothing will be lost if i report to such. Examination was held and I am doing great in Abstract category, but when the English and Math category were given I was like (omg!). English Category composed of 50items, to which each number consists of 5sentences. Correcting Errors. It was easy, but sad to say I only answered 5 numbers out of 50. Math Category consists of 70 items, 35 for the addition, subtraction, ,multiplication and division, while half of it dealt on problem solving. I totally answered like 20 of it. Why? Well, we were given like 3minutes to answer each category. waaaaah.... As I hear every time's up that the examiner was saying. I get disappointed. Because I know I should have done better but, this "time pressure" was creeping me out. hahaha So i thought I failed. An interview was given. Then, I received a call for another exam. Then I passed. They told me to report at STEP Inc. to asked Mr. Philip the requirements that I will submit to him, for me to start working as a Marketing Asst. but as they explain to me how will i received my salary (Its' an agency thing, the rcbc will pay for the agency and it was to them whom i will get my salary; So if i'm about to get 9k 4k of it will go to the agency and the remaining 5k will be my salary). I started to dislike the work. I never tried to contact them again, because I am not interested anymore.

*I'm not choosy when it comes to what kind of job I will be working. I just want a fair salary..=p

Manaoag+Tarlac=Fun! Fun! Fun!

Part 1: May 8, 2010... We went to Pangasinan to attend Mass at Manaoag Church and since it's election time; we asked her to help Binay's party to win in this years' election. It was also my thanksgiving mass(I promised Our Lady of Manaoag that If I graduated cum laude, I will go back and visit the church, for me to thank her for guiding me during my college days). It was a 14-hour ride from Manila to Pangasinan and vice versa. We also visited Isdaan in Tarlac which was known as Erap's favorite restaurant. The restaurant made me feel like as if I was in Thailand. The place was really beautiful. There were statues of different famous personalities, filipino cultures and buddhas' of some sort. The food was really delicious, though the group meals were expensive. It was worth it. We even take out almost half of the food because our stomach was too full. (That's how many it was). I will go back there if i have a chance.

Part 2: May 15, 2010... Another escapade+Full of first times. Same routine as what i had written in part 1, but this time, we have done tons of things. Uhmm... We visited the so-called "Bagsakan Center" the market, wherein all the harvested fruits and vegetables were immediately delivered. We also tasted the Tupig, a native delicacy made with glutinous rice and grated coconuts wrapped in wilted banana leaves and cooked over live coals. Lastly,we fed the fish in the Isdaan restaurant.

(One thing I had noticed after we visit Manaoag Church (May8 and 15) , it is always the same scene, that there is a mass for the dead first and a normal mass after. while along the road were tons of accidents=(. A car rollling over the road, and a truck bumps into a van).

3:15am story...

17/05/10

In the middle of the night... i suddenly wake up because out of nowhere i had thought of "caskets", i don't know if it was a dream or what; and when i checked the time it was exactly 3:15am...which is according to my cousin was unlucky(it has something to do with what she had watched 'Paranormal Activity'). I was really afraid, and forced myself to think of other things which made me get back to sleep.

10:30am...As my cousin browsed the channel on the remote control, she had chose to watch 'Misteryo' in QTV. My cousin shared something about P2 that is related to what my cousin is watching. She said that last night, she wakes up, just to urinate. Like what happened to me, she also had thought of the same scenario. Gladly, she's sleeping in her parents room, so she just slept beside her mom to lessen her fright. And when she shared that story, i also shared mine. It's really not only me who experienced the same thing. I didn't mind what my cousin say that it is "unlucky" because if i think of it, it might happened so i'd rather not think of it though...

Then, I am chatting with my friends at 5:30pm. While I am soo enjoyed chatting with them, our maid txted me. She said that someone from smartbro needs to finally install our internet connection. I immediately turn off the computer and brought it to our house. They tried to connect it, but 2hours had passed and they still fail. While they were installing something, they clicked something on my laptops' keyboard that changed its desktop appearance. This made me go "WHAT THE" okay so they did change the set up and vanished. Leaving my laptop destroyed. I brought it back to my kuya's house which is 5houses away from our house. My cousin opened my laptop because he needs to harvest the peas from his farm. That was the time that we had noticed that there was something wrong regarding the appearance of my laptops' desktop. Since he cannot used farmville cheats with that kind of set up. He called my ate and asked for help. I also txt my friends for assistance. and wullah... it becomes okay... But when we restart it, there's this password thing that in need to be filled in and lots of dialog boxes appeared... gladly, my ate did a great help..

Okay, so it's dinner time. I ate dinner late. almost 9pm, i think.. I ate rice, chicken and cake as a dessert. When we were laughing at the living room. I'm like "oh! i soo love the cake ."And rest myself well in the beautiful couch of my cousin. And when i stand, there was this big stain on their beautiful couch. Omg! i ruined it. When i checked where i had sitted in the dining area, there was also stain. Stain Stain everywhere.

So, i was playing ridge racer, when i decided to arrange the pillows, so that my ate will not find out that i ruined their couch and woollah i just dropped my cousins psp off to the floor. it didn't open for almost 20 minutes.. so i thought i destroyed it, however, we decided to get the charger and try to open it again, i was about to cry though, and no tears fell down, yehey!... Gladly, it opens.. so i thought i need to pay 8k for the psp... clap2!!!

Goodbye Mandaluyong... Hello Makati!!!

I wake up one day feeling so curious. I've seen my parents talking about moving to Makati. I didn't mind them at first, because i thought they're just joking. But when my mom finally talk to me, I realized that this is not a joke. This is reality. I don't know how will I react about what my mom told me. It was so sudden. She said that my godmother talked to the owner of that house to let us rent their vacant apartment. As well as paid for the advances and the deposits. I'm not excited though, since Mandaluyong has been my home for almost 11years. However, we have no choice but to leave the place.

April 21, 2010, 6:15pm. The moment of truth. The night wherein we will finally leave Mandaluyong and will welcome Makati. As I close the door of our house, I realized that it was really hard to say Goodbye to a place where you grow up. People has been good to us though. I will be far from my school. It is also saying Goodbye to the bad memories we had, while living in the place. It is also saying Goodbye to the people who ones' loved me, and suddenly forgets me. But it is good to be near to the house of our relatives. Because we were the only ones' who live at Mandaluyong.

First day: it's really fun, we bought new furnitures and my Godmother gave us some cabinets and a new aircon, we have a cable as well which i miss.

From second to the current day: I started reclaiming about things, and realized one thing... The place is big yes! bigger than what we used to live at. But there were things that I didn't like: The place is too closed(there are only two windows, and that's it, which made the place soo hot; that three electricfans aren't enough to make you feel comfy); Okay, my wish was granted I finally have my own room, it's not really "my own room" since our maid and my cousin sleep on the floor. This made me have a hard time sleeping; because of their noise. So, i decided to sleep in my parents room. To which I'm comfortable at. But, because of the aircon, i decided to sleep to my own room. (I've been sleeping there until today, but when my dad is out-of-town, I sleep beside my mom, so she will not be alone in their room). Since we have no internet connection; I always go to my cousins house to surf the net through "wifi". The routine: I wake up at 10am; eat brunch at 12noon, take a bath at 12:30pm, go to my cousins house at 1:00pm, and returns home at 11:00pm. Realization: I realized that the bigger the house is, the bigger the needs/satisfaction/expenses. It's not what makes me happy. I just want to live in a simple life with simple things.

But then, I should be happy though, because it is what my parents is happy with. I've never seen them as happy as this; being near to my moms' siblings. Is really the only plus I've seen upon "Moving In".
